So...how do YOU spell Ottawa/Ottowa?

It's Ottawa. Thanks to everyone for the e-mails regarding the spelling mistakes... Keeps us honest!
It was a long ride ride in from Kingston the day after our Canada Day celebration...
We were, after a long 150km ride joined by Adrian's brother Mark for the final 15 km. We made it into Mark's neighborhood where there were about 9 kids on their little bikes in a cluster just waiting for us to come around the corner. When we did, they clapped and cheered for us! Coolest kids ever! The Pusiak family was there for us again! We enjoyed a feast of feasts and tucked in for an early night.
Now in Ottawa we made our way to the Market Keg to be joined with David, Jamie, Carolyn, Jay C. and the Honorable Larry Campbell. Senator Campbell and our group met with varios media at the Keg on their beautiful patio. The Senator offered up some very kind and inspirational words for us as did David. What a great feeling! A cocktail party ensued shortly after and we were joined again by the Pusiaks. Sofia was our team photographer and did a magnificent job snapping shots all over the place. Wonderful work Sofia, thank you!
As luck would have it, a new Keg Steakhouse opened up! The Hunt Club Keg was a magnificent sight! People everywhere and all smiles and chuckles. Dinner with David and the rest of the gang was amazing! Senator Campbell was better than any TV show I've ever seen and kept us in stitches the whole time. Vancouver misses you Senator! Troyan from Edmonton was the man in charge of the opening and from what we could see, everyone did an astounding job!
After dinner we moseyed back to the Market Keg for 'dessert' before heading to a local pub for a great night of dancing and laughs.
Morning came soon and Adrian had a surprise that he needed to unravel with some help from Steve and Carolyn. Adrian being the sweetest man most women have ever met(this is Steve writing, not Adrian), flew Erika(Jer's fiancee) in to see Jeremy as a wedding present. Nice job. We had to fabricate some things to get Jeremy out of bed, but once we saw the two back together again...MAGIC! We left Jeremy and Erika to be alone together. Adrian, Carolyn and I went to dinner and enjoyed a feast of east indian cuisine. It was an early tuck-in after a quick coffee(decaf) with a new friend Stephanie, a very funny and sweet woman with a heart of gold.
The next morning we were back on the bikes. Jeremy and I(Steve) were riding and Adrian was driving with a new co-pilot Erika.
This brings us to our next blog from Ottowa to Montreal which will be written by a guest writer, Erika!
To everyone that we had the chance to hang out with, party with, dine with...thank you an million times for a wonderful stay in our nations' capital.

Guys... it was so great to see you in Otawa and know that the next time I will see you will be in St. John's... unreal! Hang in, stay strong, and keep positive. You are amazing! And SOO great to meet botht the Pusiak clan ~ what a great family. And of course, a huge highlight was seeing the look on Jeremy's face as we came out of the train station with the lovely Erika. A true Hallmark moment if there ever was one!
See you soon!
Den Mom
Yes, indeed the Pusiak family is really warm & supportive. One hug from Adrian's mom & that says it all.
Jeremy, I can see what drives you to pedal back to St. John's...getting marrried to the lovely Erika is definitely motivation. And what a great surprise - good on you Adrian!
Like Carolyn mentioned, a truely Hallmark moment - actually Hallmark could take a lesson from the Keg!
Keep on keeping on!!
Miss u soooo much!!
